The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) – The University of New Mexico Student Branch

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s largest professional organization that prioritizes innovation and progress that benefits humanity. IEEE does this by utilizing the global technical community and urging them to contribute to improving global conditions. UNM IEEE follows the principles laid out by the professional organization by hosting cyber security workshops for students in the CS and ECE department, urging members to participate in the IEEEXtreme 24-hour programming competition, attending conferences like IEEE Rising Stars and Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and engaging in collaborative efforts with UNM school of engineering, along with other fellow student organizations like Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and Hispanic Engineering and Science Organization (HESO).
